About the workshop:
People with lived experience have unique perspectives and expertise to contribute, however, it can be challenge to get the right people to listen. Having communication strategies that are tailored to the audience can increase the chances of being heard. Equally, having strategies that help us maintain our resilience in the face of set backs is important as persistence is usually necessary.
Who the workshop is for:
Anyone with lived experience who wants to learn new leadership skills .
What will I learn?
Participants will know how and what to communicate in professional settings, verbally and in writing.
How this session fits within the broader LEDGE Project:
This workshop is part of the leadership stream. It is one of the 5 workshops that form the requirements for the lived experience leadership certificate. They can also be done as single workshops at any stage of the learning pathway.
