Sharing Stories Safely

November 5 | 09:30 - 12:30

Free

About the workshop:

Using our lived experience  to combat stigma and shame, advocate for  change,  and inspire hope can be empowering.  When shared for purpose our story is a powerful  tool that helps us connect with others and offer insight. This workshop will give you the tools to share your story on your own terms while considering your own and others and safety.

I really liked the info about caring for yourself and audience during and after your presentation. This is often neglected in training/info about public speaking or sharing stories. [Workshop Participant]

Who the workshop is for:

Everyone! Especially for people who are curious, those who are just beginning to use their lived experience with purpose or for people who want to revisit how to effectively share their lived experience with others.

What will I learn?

Participants will increase awareness of their personal boundaries and will have strategies to ensure safe-enough sharing for themselves and the people they share with.

Register for this event by emailing info@lelan.org.au .

More information about the Lived Experience Development, Governance & Education (LEDGE) Project that this training is a component of can be accessed here.

I am booked into all these workshops as I’m really keen to get into mentoring and advocacy. Thank you for this amazing opportunity. [Workshop Participant]
