Opportunities for Influence

November 5 | 13:30 - 16:30

Free

About the workshop:

Whether we are wanting to write a blog, sit on a committee or give a talk  at a public event,  there are many different ways that we can use our lived experience to an affect change. Each strategy has its own considerations  and will require different skills. It can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to put your energy.  This workshop will help you determine your purpose and explore where you will have the biggest impact towards achieving your goals.

I am even more determined to follow a part in advocacy. [Workshop Participant]

Who the workshop is for:

Anyone who wants to know more about  the various ways that people can use their lived experience, what’ s involved and how to decide where you put your energy.

What will I learn?

Participants will have an understanding of the mental health sector and services and the ways that lived experience leaders can have influence within the mental health sector.

How this session fits within the broader LEDGE Project:

This workshop will support participants to plan their LEDGE learning pathway and can be completed at any point throughout that learning program. This workshop can also be done as a stand alone workshop.
