Lived Experience Governance – Risk and Culture
November 30 | 10:00 - 12:30Free
About the workshop:
Culture lies at the heart of governance. It informs a group’s rules and values about what is the ‘right way’ of exercising power and governing—and the nature and extend of the risks it is prepared to take to meet objectives. Oversight of culture and risk management is the responsibility of the board. These are both areas where people with lived experience can have significant impact.
What will I learn?
Participants will have an understanding about common risk management strategies, and the importance of board dynamics, common issues and strategies to resolve them.
How this session fits within the broader LEDGE Project:
This workshops is part of the Lived Experience governance stream and is 1 of the 5 workshops required for the lived experience governance certificate. The workshops in this stream build on each other so if you do not have governance experience they are a best completed in order.
